Three Six Five Salon Group

During my final year of university, I undertook an internship at Three Six Five Salon Group, a company renowned for managing multiple hair care brands, with Paul Mitchell being among their prominent partners. In this role, I assumed a senior position as their primary designer, collaborating closely with the marketing team to develop various design projects.

My responsibilities included social media management, creating Instagram tiles to enhance product promotion, designing email newsletters (ELMs), capturing photography for their workshops, and crafting catalogue and magazine designs. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into brand promotion and multi-platform design strategies within the beauty and hair care industry.

Social Managing

During my internship at Three Six Five Salon Group, I had the opportunity to manage and schedule Instagram tiles specifically for Paul Mitchell. This included designing and strategically planning content to effectively promote their products and services. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in crafting promotional campaigns, including one for a competition, which allowed me to apply my creative skills in engaging a targeted audience and achieving campaign objectives. This experience was instrumental in deepening my understanding of digital marketing strategies and their application in the beauty and hair care industry.

Workshop

This involved designing informative and visually appealing materials that effectively communicated the workshop details and benefits to participants. Through this experience, I honed my skills in layout design, content organization, and aligning visuals with brand messaging, contributing to the successful promotion and engagement of their educational events.

Photography

I had the opportunity to photograph Paul Mitchell’s workshop. This role allowed me to capture engaging and professional images that highlighted the atmosphere, activities, and participants of the workshops. Through this experience, I developed my photography skills in a professional setting, ensuring the visuals effectively supported the company's promotional efforts and documented their educational events comprehensively.

New and Now Magazine Design

I undertook the creation of a promotional brochure design featuring prominent brands such as Paul Mitchell, Pro Tools, Awapuhi, Tea Tree, Volvo, and Clean Beauty. This project involved integrating brand visuals and key messaging to effectively showcase the diverse range of products and services offered. By carefully curating content and design elements, I aimed to enhance brand visibility and appeal, contributing to targeted marketing initiatives within the beauty and hair care industry.

Christmas collection

I was responsible for designing banners for email campaigns and posters for Hair House Warehouse. This role required me to create visually compelling graphics that aligned with the respective brand identities and promotional goals. By leveraging my design skills and understanding of branding principles, I effectively contributed to the marketing efforts aimed at engaging and informing the target audience through digital and physical mediums. This experience strengthened my proficiency in creating impactful visual communication materials for diverse marketing channels.
